Terms of Service

    Last updated 2 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Check Lark, Inc. for the use of Lark. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an agency or company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

    The service

Lark is a subscription tool for finding speaking events, tracking calls for speakers, and managing client and speaker pipelines. We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we remove something you rely on and it materially reduces the value of your plan, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of your term.

    Accounts and seats

You need an account to use Lark. Keep your login details secure and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. Seats are per person and cannot be shared. You are responsible for what everyone on your agency account does.

    Plans, payment, and renewal

    • We don't currently add VAT or sales tax at checkout. The price shown is the price you pay.
    • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Cancel any time from billing settings; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
    • Fees already paid are non-refundable except where this agreement or the law says otherwise.
    • We can change prices with 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal.
    • If a payment fails we may suspend access until it clears. We will email you first.

    Free trials

Trials give full access for the stated period and do not require a card. When a trial ends, access stops unless you choose a plan. We may change or end trial terms for future users at any time.

    Your data

You own the clients, speakers, notes, and other content you put into Lark. You grant us the licence needed to host, process, back up, and display that content so we can run the service for you. You confirm you have the right to upload it, including any personal data about speakers or clients, and that doing so does not break any law or agreement you are under. How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy. You can export your data at any time while your account is active.

    Our data and content

The event directory, classifications, rankings, and everything else we produce stay ours. Your subscription lets your team use them internally, including in work for your clients. It does not let you resell, redistribute, or publish the directory as a dataset, scrape it in bulk, or use it to build a competing product. Automated access is fine through the API and MCP endpoints we provide, within the limits we set.

    Acceptable use

    You agree not to:

    • Break the law, or use Lark to send spam or unsolicited bulk email.
    • Try to access other agencies' data, probe our security, or get round rate limits and access controls.
    • Upload malware, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
    • Reverse engineer the service, except where the law says you may.
    • Share your seat, or let someone outside your organisation use it.

We may suspend an account that breaches these rules. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.

    AI features and accuracy

Lark uses AI to classify events, write reports, and rank results. AI output can be wrong, out of date, or incomplete. Event details — dates, deadlines, submission rules — come from third-party websites that change without notice. Check anything that matters against the organiser's own site before you pitch or submit. Lark supports your judgement; it does not replace it, and we do not warrant that any output is accurate or fit for a particular purpose.

    Availability

We aim to keep Lark available and to schedule maintenance outside peak hours, but we do not promise uninterrupted service unless we have signed a separate service level agreement with you.

    Third-party services

Lark links to and integrates with services we do not control, including conference websites and payment, sign-in, and AI providers. Their terms govern your use of them, and we are not responsible for their content or conduct.

    Ending the agreement

You may close your account at any time by emailing us. We may end this agreement with 30 days' notice, or immediately if you materially breach these terms or if required by law. On termination your access stops and we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Export anything you want to keep first.

    Disclaimers and liability

Except as expressly stated here, the service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all other warranties to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability arising out of or relating to this agreement is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

    Indemnity

You will cover us against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from content you upload to Lark or from your use of the service in breach of these terms.

    Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will email account holders at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Lark after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, cancel before they apply and we will refund the unused part of your term.

    Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Sonoma County, California have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in.

    General

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Failing to enforce a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it as part of a merger or sale of the business.
